Blogmas Day 13: A Festive Tipple

After the slight failure of yesterday’s paper Christmas tree crafting, I felt like I needed a win today. And it’s Christmas, which means treating yourself to little joys all throughout December, which is why I treated myself to a festive tipple tonight.

We recently bought some elderflower liqueur, which smells AMAZING, but is quite strong, so I wanted to incorporate it into a cocktail of some sort. I’m a big fan of gin, so this was the basis for my cocktail.

Before we go any further, I feel like we need a name for this cocktail… I mean, there is probably a name for this type of cocktail already, but let’s make a name for it anyway. After a solid 5 minutes of thinking, I can’t come up with a decent name, so I’m going to call it a Gin Bauble for the time being. It had to be a festive name!

It’s really simple to make, all I did was:

  • Mix 2 parts elderflower cordial with 5 parts gin
  • Top up with tonic until well diluted
  • Give it a quick stir, and that’s it!

Cheers!

See you tomorrow,

Anna
